Sarah SaReal

Sarah is a self-taught artist who creates art that expresses our shared human emotions and connection to something greater than ourselves.

From heart centered motifs to abstract earthly musings, Sarah’s artwork reflects her deep curiosity for life.

“When we are creating we are tapped into our most primitive nature and at the same time, our infinite possibility”

Over the years Sarah has become highly skilled in graphic art and has lent her talents to book production, video documentation, clothing and product design, animation and murals. Sarah has also curated environments at festivals and assisted with art exhibitions. Past and current works include collaborations with some of Seattle’s most well known artists.

Contrasting techniques combined with her utilization of a a multitude of materials, Sarah is able to be true to what comes alive through her. These creative outlets have become vehicles between worlds, where what is ungraspable lends itself to be molded and melded, like a potter prepping it’s clay, then transformed into something we can touch and feel.

For Sarah, making art is her meditation. It is how she makes sense of the world and taps into her most authentic nature.

Time spent in nature, connecting with others, physical activity, and learning about how and why humans do what they do, are all contributions of inspiration to Sarah’s artwork. Her heart motifs are her way to try and make sense of innate human feelings and connect all humans through our shared experiences.

By giving herself time to delve into multiple illustration styles she is balanced by her need to create artwork that is cathartic and artwork that expresses her playful side.
